AGN Technology Vulcan 3 500 BPS is the third generation of the Vulcan series, developed to offer greater air capacity, improved usability and a more refined shooting experience. The Vulcan 3 line is available in 500 and 700 versions, which mainly differ in barrel length and air capacity; this 500 model features a 500 mm cold hammer-forged CZ barrel, a 480 cc carbon air cylinder and a total pressurised air capacity of 615 cc. Compared with earlier generations, air capacity has been significantly improved, as the external and internal air cylinders work together to provide much more reserve. The internal air cylinder is divided into two separate sections by the regulator, allowing the user to choose between a larger plenum for more powerful shots or a smaller plenum for lower-power shooting. The rifle operates with a 300 bar fill pressure, uses a regulated PCP system and is available in 4.5 mm (.177), 5.5 mm (.22), 6.35 mm (.25) and 7.62 mm (.30), with energy levels of up to 24, 42, 62 or 102 J depending on calibre. <\/p>\n
The enhanced BPS synthetic stock is ambidextrous and now features a slightly raised buttpad for a more comfortable shooting position. The monoblock is produced as a single piece together with the Weaver\/Picatinny rail, which has a 20 MOA slope for more practical long-distance scope adjustment. Once the top Weaver\/Picatinny rail is removed, the side lever can be installed on either side of the air rifle. The Vulcan 3 sound moderator has been enlarged and improved, with greater internal volume to reduce muzzle sound more effectively, while an additional moderator can also be fitted to the muzzle if desired. The fore-end includes a Weaver\/Picatinny rail for mounting a bipod or other accessories, and this rail can be removed easily by undoing two screws. AGN\u2019s magazine design remains compatible with previous Vulcan generations, so older Vulcan magazines can still be used with the Vulcan 3. The rifle weighs 3600 g and has an overall length of 800 mm; it has no open sights and no riflescope included.
