The Fenix PD36TAC is a dedicated tactical flashlight for professionals. It is a fully mechanically operated flashlight, which allows to reduce the size of the flashlight without compromising on battery size, ergonomics and light output. The Fenix PD36TAC is just 140mm long, with a head diameter of 26.5mm and a body diameter of 25.4mm. Despite this, it houses a new generation of high-capacity Type 21700 USB-C direct-charging Li-ion battery and a Luminus SST70 LED element with power supply. The latter provides the lamp with a maximum luminous intensity of 3000lm and a maximum luminous flux range of 274 meters. What makes a tactical flashlight is its size and switching system. The Fenix PD36TAC has a mechanical back switch specifically designed for tactical use. The mechanical switch helps to reduce the size of the flashlight and provides the best feedback. In addition, Fenix has packed three functions into a single switch: normal duty mode, interlock mode and tactical mode. The required mode is selected by turning the switch to the appropriate position. The tactical mode is only available in high luminous intensity (2000lm) and can be switched to momentary, continuous or strobe mode. In normal service mode, all five intensities (range 30-3000lm) and strobe (2000lm) are available. Again, it is possible to use the intensities either momentarily or continuously, plus enter strobe mode. The locking mode allows you to lock the mechanical switch of the lamp at any intensity or even in the off position. The mechanical switch, its operation and the selection of the light intensities are simple and can be done with one hand. The Fenix PD36TAC, like the other Fenix professional series bulbs, is made of aluminium alloy, coated with Type III anodizing and is fully waterproof (IP68, tested to withstand water for 4 hours at 2m depth). Powered by a new generation Type 21700 Li-ion battery pack with standard USB-C direct charging socket. It comes with the original Fenix battery with 5000mAh capacity. The battery tray is equipped with double-sided springs to cushion shocks, drops and weapon recoil. The Fenix PD36TAC is adaptable to most standard size weapon mounts and the Fenix AER-05 rangefinder with accessories. The normal operating temperature of the lamp is -35…+45 degrees. In addition, the PD36TAC is equipped with reverse polarity protection for incorrectly inserted power supply, an automatic lamp operating temperature tracking system and a very low battery warning. The USB-C direct rechargeable battery is equipped with a charging process indicator. The Fenix PD36TAC is supplied as a complete kit, including the lamp, the original Fenix 5000mAh USB-C rechargeable battery, charging cable, lightweight belt clip, back-up ring holder and user manual.
