Map compass (M-Tac)
A classic cartographic compass. The transparent housing allows you to read information directly from the card. It has rulers for calculating distances on a map at a scale of 1:25 000 or 1:50 000, a magnifying glass. In our case, it is not only a magnetic compass, but also a liquid compass. An arrowhead was invented, which was dipped in a liquid for quick orientation with a compass. The viscous liquid is poured into a hermetically sealed plastic capsule in which the arrow rotates. Thanks to the fact that the viscosity of the liquid is higher than that of the gas, the arrow settles very quickly – in less than 2 seconds in this set! The compass itself is printed with lines on a belt on which a capsule rotates, with a limb and an arrow. The frame is rectangular and made of lightweight transparent plastic.
